You
asked for it! The newest recording from the world-famous Mormon
Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square features the most-requested
songs from stage and screen, based on a survey sent to thousands
of Choir fans. Included are Broadway tunes such as "Bring Him
Home," from Les Miserables, and "Neverland," from
Peter Pan, along with Hollywood hits like "The Circle of Life,"
from The Lion King, and "In Dreams," from Lord of the
Rings.
In this edition, Tabernacle Choir director Craig Jessop talks about
music both timeless and new, the pressure of broadcasting 52 weeks
a year, adding the orchestra to the choir, and why he still gets
chills directing "The Battle Hymn of the Republic." Also,
why he considers LDS President Gordon B. Hinckley the "patron
saint" of the choir.
All this and much more this week on the Cricket and Seagull.....
